Doing the right thing

Helping communities and sustaining our environment

Social impact

Our mission to help people has always extended far beyond life insurance. A big part of our corporate culture is giving back to our community through volunteer fundraising, charities and scholarships. We’re proud of our ongoing charitable efforts. 2023 highlights include:

Annual Charitable Giving Campaign
In 2023, between our employees’ efforts and company match, LGA raised over $884,900 through its Annual Charitable Giving Campaign. We raised money through LGA spirit competitions, ticketed events, sponsored activities, and salary donations.

Some of our local sponsored charities have included:
Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County | Student Homelessness Initiative Partnership (SHIP) of Frederick County | America’s VetDogs | Second Chances Garage | ThanksUSA | Heartly House | CureSearch for Children's Cancer | Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary | Sleep in Heavenly Peace | The Animal Welfare League of Frederick County

NAILBA Charitable Foundation We’re a proud charter member of the National Association of Independent Life Insurance Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) Charitable Foundation, which supports local charities throughout the United States. LGA makes annual donations to the foundation — over the past few years, we've donated over $200,000.

L&G Social Impact Report

"CureSearch is very appreciative of partners like Legal and General America who help accelerate cures for kids with cancer. Thanks to the generosity of the employees at Legal and General America, you are helping to fund a Phase I clinical trial for hard-to-treat childhood brain tumors. I was moved by the generosity and support of CureSearch."

National Director, Campaign Development, CureSearch for Children's Cancer
